Arizona Dairy Council Teams Up with Franklin Foods and Caballero Dairy
The "Farm to Table" Tour Highlighted the Best of Arizona Dairy
The Arizona Dairy Council hosted 30 Dietetic interns from Arizona State University and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health to a 'Farm to Table" tour with an emphasis on connecting dietitians to Arizona agriculture and food production.
The day began with a visit to of Caballero Dairy where the interns learned about dairy farming, and concluded with a tour of Franklin Foods West and sampling of Greek Cream Cheese.

The American Cheese Society (ACS) is the leader in supporting and promoting American cheeses. The goal of the ACS is to give positive recognition to those cheeses that are of the highest quality in their aesthetic evaluation (i.e. flavor, aroma, and texture) and their technical evaluation.
The 2015 competition is considered the largest ACS competition ever, 267 companies submitted 1,779 entries from across North America.

Pinal 40 Awards $135,000 to Students and Non-Profits
New group to promote Pinal County ag, youth

Pinal County has a new, home-grown philanthropic oranization — a fraternity of businessmen who joined forces last December to promote Pinal County, especially its youth, farming and ag-related businesses. Click here for the entire article.
The Pinal 40 awarded $135,000 in grants and scholarships, including $40,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Casa Grande, Valley, $10,000 to the Pinal County 4-H Fair, $10,000 to Arizona FFA Foundation, and $20,000 to the Pinal 40 Endowment Fund. When the endowment reaches $1 million, it will permanently provide $60,000 a year for kids. The organization set aside $15,000 to be available to any Pinal County charity. Applications are available at pinal40.com. It also awarded $40,000 in agricultral scholarships to 18 students,who will study ag-related subjects at Central Arizona College, the University of Arizona or Texas Tech University.

Expanded Natural Gas Service: Good for Regional Economy in Enosburg
Vermont Gas has announced that after more than a year of natural gas service to Enosburg, customers are saving and emissions have been reduced.

Franklin Foods, Inc. has been issued its tenth patent from the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) for Yogurt Cheese Products. Patent number 8,518,463 has been issued to inventors Jon Gutknecht and John Ovitt.
